Attorney Opoku-Mensah is a graduate of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University-Cooley Law School. Attorney Opoku-Mensah has been licensed to practice in North Carolina since 2007 and Illinois since 2008.
As an attorney, she knows that navigating the bankruptcy process can be frightening and overwhelming. She has seen firsthand the physical and emotional toll that debts such as medical bills, delinquent taxes, court judgments, foreclosures, and repossessions have on clients and their families. Ms. Opoku-Mensah’s goal is to create an environment where bankruptcy clients don’t feel judged or ashamed about their financial situation. Ms. Opoku-Mensah is dedicated to helping people, and she is passionate about helping clients find bankruptcy solutions to crushing debt.
In addition to serving her bankruptcy clients, Ms. Opoku-Mensah also volunteers her time with the North Carolina Appellate Guardian Ad Litem Program. Since 2013, Ms. Opoku-Mensah has served as a volunteer attorney advocating for abused and neglected children in North Carolina termination of parental right appeals cases.
